What are the Skill Requirements?

Every year we provide team hopefuls with a list of skills that they will be required to perform at auditions as well as additional skills that we would like to have but not everyone on the team may have.

Required Skills:

Skills that you will be requested to perform at auditions and are a minimum requirement to be on the team. 

Asset Skills: 

Skills you can optionally perform at auditions if you have them and are seen as an asset and could be used in a routine as a feature.

Jazz

Required

Double pirouette

4 or more consecutive Fouettés

4 or more turns in second

Posè turns

Chaînés

Jeté with developpé 

Switch split 

Baryshnikov (turning single attitude jump)

Travelling Russian 

Kicks to eye level front and side

Assets

Triple or more pirouette

Switch Russian

Turning Russian 

Firebird 

Switch arabesque (Maddie jump)

Any tumbling

Fouetté turning combos

Leg hold turns (front or side) 

Pom 

 Required Skills: 

Kicks - Minimum height of eye level for front & side; both right and left 

Illusions - Open & Closed; Right & Left 

Switch Split - Right split 

Baryshnikov (turning single attitude jump) - Right & Left 

Single Toe Touch - Traditional Prep 

Double Toe Touch - Traditional Prep 

Double Pirouette - Triple preferred 

Turns in Second - 3 (or more) into a double out

Asset Skills 

Aerials 

Single handed walkovers

 Float turns within a turning pattern 

Switch Russian 

Switch Arabesque (Maddie Ziegler Jump) 

Turning Russian 

Any other skills you would like to showcase.

Waacking
