Sandi Yao

When we were putting together our judging panel, we felt who better to help us put together our team than someone who had been there before. Our first retiring member Sandi was a stand out dancer and leader on our team. With 15 years of dance experiene in various styles. She was a great addition to help us judge both teams.

Laura Turnball

Returning this year, we had the amazing Laura Turnball. With 19 years of dance experience in various styles, and having danced professionally all over the world, Laura was a perfect choice for our judging panel. Laura’s notable performances as a dancer include performing with many Indian celebrities & recently performing at the opening ceremonies for the Western Canada Games. Now Laura is teaching at Studio One & We Move SK and we are excited to have her as a part of both judging panels.

Ida Belete

Ida is someone who is well versed in all styles of hip hop. She was a dancer for 16 years and has been teaching for 13 years at many different studios all over Saskatchewan & Alberta. Ida’s notable performances as a teacher include choreographing from the University of Regina Hip Hop Crew, Saskatchewan Rush halftime show and many high marking competition groups and solos. We are so excited to have Ida’s wealth of knowledge as a part of our Hip Hop judging panel.

Erin McLean

Erin McLean has danced for a total of 13 years in various disciplines. After high school, she attended and graduated from the Habour Dance Centre Intensive Training Program in Vancouver, BC. Erin’s notable performances as a dancer include WE Day Vancouver, Vancity Projects, Artists Emerge & Lamon Dance Company Show. Erin has been a teacher for 6 years now and we are excited to have her as a part of our Hip Hop judging panel.

Ashley Paulgaard

Ashley is a former dancer with 10 years of experience in various disciplines. After high school, Ashley completed her Kinesiolgy degree and is now a certified personal trainer who specializes in back, hip and shoulder rehabilitation. With Ashley’s dance background and attention to detail, she is also an expert in strengthening dancers, properly, beyond the studio. Ashley is now the owner of YXE Fitness where she can put her expertise into daily practice with her clients. That is why we are excited to have Ashley not only on our Pom and Jazz judging panel but also as a Grand Champion Sponsor this year.

Meagan Barabash

Meagan has spent most of her life dancing. She has danced for 22 years in all of the traditional styles. Spending the past 10 years as a teacher in the dance community, Meagan is the owner of Bravo Dance Co. in Martensville SK which is now going into it’s 5th season. Meagan’s notable performances as a teacher include the Harlem Globetrotters Halftime Show as well as the Disney World Tour. We are glad to have Meagan’s expertise on our Pom & Jazz judging panel.
